Unframed original watercolour painting of an English bluebell (hyacinthoides non-scripta). One of a set of four original paintings completed after a walk to my local bluebell woods 'Burton Bushes' on the Westwood common in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Painted on A6 size handmade deckle edged recycled cotton paper, I have initialled each painting on the front and signed and dated on the reverse.
This is a rare opportunity to own an original piece of artwork by the artist behind Littlebirdy Designs.
With these paintings I wanted to deepen the magical but fleeting seasonal experience of visiting the bluebell woods by taking the time to examine individual bluebells at different stages of their lifecycle whilst imagining what it would be like to be a woodland fairy living among them. I hope these paintings will bring a little piece of that wonder into your home.
