this is being sold as a second because of two small black marks on the edge of the coaster. These are caused by iron ore particles in the clay body that become visible during the transfer firing - please see photos. This is a cosmetic flaw only and won't affect the durability of the design.
A cute hand decorated bone china round coaster.
Hand decorated using digital transfers of my watercolour illustrations of a sleepy tawny owl, moon and star. My illustrations are professionally printed onto ceramic transfers which I apply by hand to each coaster composing the design as I go. They have a slight rim so are also equally suitable to use as a spoon rest.
After decorating the coasters are fired in my own small electric kiln to 800°C making them dishwasher safe.
